Hashtags are used on LinkedIn to identify content that relates to a specific subject matter area. There are many different hashtags on LinkedIn and you can even create your own if you want to.

We use Hashtags on Nexus QR8 to allow you to use them on your posts and to help you find content posted by others using hashtags that you are following (by adding a hashtag to your hashtag list you are effectively following that hashtag).

To add new hashtags to your watch-list Go to the engage section of Nexus QR8 and click on the Hashtags sub-title at the top of the screen.

Click on the “Add Hashtag” button and type in the name of the hashtag you want to add to your watch-list. Please ensure you use only letters and numbers to enter your hashtag. You do not need to enter the # symbol. We recommend that you capitalise the first letter of each word you enter so “usethishashtag” becomes “UseThisHashtag”.

Once added your hashtags are listed in alphabetical order.

You can remove hashtags by clicking on the “Remove” button next to each hashtag.

When you first add a hashtag the word “Pending” will appear below the hashtag name. This is because we manually review hashtags entries and apply a label to each one that indicates the rough number of followers the hashtag has. We do this so that when you are posting you can select the appropriate hashtag in the knowledge of the likely audience anything you post may be exposed to.
