Curation

This is where articles are displayed once they have been discovered and allocated an Individual Relevance Score (IRS) by Nexus QR8. The IRS is a score generated for each article curated for you which enables us to present articles for reivew based on their likely relevance to you (this is based on the search terms and hashtags to which you are subscribed). Articles will appear in the view listed in order of their URS with the most relevant article at the top of the list.

The “Feed” dropdown can be used to select articles from individual sources (searches or feeds). The fault view is “All”. You will see their is also the option to view articles from favourite feeds only. Selecting the favourite feed filter will display onlyl articles that have been surfaced from a feed or feeds that are tagged as a favourite in your subscriptions configuration.

Articles will auto expire after 7 days (from their published date) if they are not accepted or rejected beforehand. This happens at the end of each day.

You can view an article in a new browser window by clicking on the article title.

To “Reject” an article click on the “Reject” button and the article will be archived.

See below under “Posting Content” for further information about how to Post Content.

You can find out more about “Circles” here and more about “Hashtags” here.

As you are working through your articles you can protect article and prevent it from being deleted by clicking on the green unlocked padlock symbol to the left of the article title. When you click on the symbol it changes to a red locked padlock symbol. To unprotect an article click on the locked padlock symbol and it will toggle back to the unlocked padlock symbol. Symboles that are protected will appear at the top of the curation list irrespective of the relevance of that article.

Forwarding Articles

Occasionally, you may find an article that you don’t want to post but which you believe will be of interest to another circle member. To forward an article click on the “Forward” button on the curate screen. From the list of circle members displayed select the individual that you want to forward the article to and click “Forward Article”. The article will be forwarded to the selected circle member and they will be alerted with a system generated email that they have a forwarded article for review (unless they have turned this feature off).
